Arizona defensive driving classes are 4 hours long with 25 minutes included for break.
Your violation must be on the list of eligible moving violations approved for the course. You can find a list of approved violations at https://www.azcourts.gov/drive/Eligible-Violations
Class must be completed at least 7 days prior to the court date. If you are within your 7 days, you will need to contact the court for an extension. The fastest way is to call them. Some courts may require you to submit a form. For a list of some Municipal courts that offer online extension requests, please visit https://www.abcdefensivedriving.net/eligibility
Yes, you may take either the online or in-person class. If you were specifically ordered to take the defensive driving class by a judge, please verify that an online course is acceptable. Online registrations must be done 10 days in advance of your court date.
ABC accepts multiple forms of payments.

You may choose to set up a payment plan through Afterpay. Payment plans, approvals, and terms are determined directly by the provider. We are not involved in teh approval process or payment agreements. If you set up a payment plan through Afterpay, please note there will be service fees and interest involved. Typical plans offer installments every 2 weeks. Longer monthly financing may be available.
Completion of ABC's defensive driving class does not mean automatic dismissal of your ticket. You must check and meet the eligibility requirements. If court records reveal that you are not eligible or do not comply to requirements, you will forfeit your class fee and the matter of your ticket will be set for a hearing.
1. Refund of the court diversion fee, state fee and state surcharge shall result in defensive driving eligibility restoration.
2. ABC's class fees are non-refundable once a student has attended the scheduled class.

The in-person class does not require payment to register. Payment is due on the day of class at check-in.
Please bring your ID/Driver's License and your citation. You will need these items to check-in for class. If you lost your citation, please contact the court to obtain a copy. We accept digital copies to our email or via text. ABC provides pens and paper for your use.
ABC offers water bottles and granola bars. Participants are welcome to bring their own food and drinks.
The school will send your completion to the court. Courts can take between 10-14 days to process your completion and dismiss your ticket. Please be patinet as the school. We are happy to provide updates at any time. Feel free to give us a call after your class to check for any updates.
Absolutely. You must attend for the full session in order to receive a completion.
ABC's class fee is $60. The remainder is what the court ad state fees are.
